I'm Paul.

I work on the internet.

Most days, that means some combination of building websites, digging into data, setting up tracking and analytics, running ads, and automating workflows.

I never really planned to work across all of those areas. One thing just kept leading to another.

Building websites led to analytics.
Analytics led to marketing.
Marketing led to automation and so on.

The common thread is that I'm interested in how things work, how they fit together, and how they can be used to solve real problems.

This site is a collection of things I've built, learned, tested, and worked on.

Things I've built, problems I've run into, campaigns I've tested, automations I've set up, and observations from looking at data for too long.

I don't write because I have all the answers.

Most of the time, I'm writing because I'm trying to understand something well enough to explain it.
